Conference Program

The conference will provide delegates with unique insights on the implications and the impacts of a programme such as SBR and the application of XBRL based on international experiences from the accounting/financial, software development and government perspectives.

The conference also presents an excellent opportunity to develop networks with people who have practical experience and can provide delegates with an ongoing source of knowledge for moving forward with SBR.

The conference will showcase working examples of software utilising XBRL for financial reporting. It will provide opportunities to learn about how this technology will impact on software development for financial reporting, as well as its impact on the accounting/finance and government sector.

Day 1

Day 1 of the conference sets the scene for how a programme such as SBR will simplify the way business reports to government. What XBRL is and how it can be used will also be explained. Case studies on how regulatory burden has been reduced in other countries will be presented.

Keynote speakers from Australia, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States and Singapore will address the Conference.

Day 2

Day 2 of the conference will see two sessions run concurrently, one for the accounting/financial sectors and the other for the software development industry.

These sessions will provide an in-depth insight into the experiences of people who have been through similar programmes, based on their industry’s perspective. The sessions will include details of what was planned, what actually happened, what was useful and what the implications were for their industry or company.

A trade show will be open to delegates throughout both days of the conference.
